Lorenzo Messina

Lorenzo Messina ha vinto nel marzo 2026, a 23 anni, il posto di secondo flauto dei Berliner Philharmoniker, diventando così il membro più giovane dell’organico orchestrale attuale. Membro dell’Accademia Karajan di Berlino per il biennio 2024–2026, vanta già collaborazioni come primo flauto con importanti orchestre europee, tra cui la Luxembourg Philharmonic, la Staatsorchester Stuttgart e l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Norrköping. È vincitore del 3° premio al Concorso Internazionale di Musica di Cluj e del 2° premio al Concorso Internazionale Carlo Maria Giulini, riconoscimenti che coronano un percorso di studi iniziato all’età di 11 anni ad Arese. Diplomato al Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano e alla Musikhochschule di Stoccarda con il massimo dei voti e la lode, Lorenzo Messina è artista dell’etichetta discografica Filodinote, fondata da Filippo Bentivoglio, con la quale ha registrato il suo album di debutto in uscita a dicembre 2026.

Lorenzo Messina won the second flute position with the Berliner Philharmoniker in March 2026, at the age of 23, thereby becoming the youngest member of the orchestra’s current line-up. A member of the Karajan Academy in Berlin for the 2024–2026 two-year period, he has already performed as principal flute with leading European orchestras, including the Luxembourg Philharmonic, the Staatsorchester Stuttgart and the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. He is the winner of the 3rd prize at the Cluj International Music Competition and the 2nd prize at the Carlo Maria Giulini International Competition, recognitions that crown a course of study begun at the age of 11 in Arese. A graduate of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart with top marks and honours, Lorenzo Messina is an artist on the Filodinote record label, founded by Filippo Bentivoglio, with whom he has recorded his debut album, due for release in December 2026.
