Riccardo Ghiani

Primo flauto dell’orchestra della fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Ha compiuto i suoi studi fra Cagliari, Parigi e Ginevra perfezionandosi con R. Guiot e M. Larrieu. Ha suonato sotto la direzione di prestigiose bacchette quali: G. Korsten, L. Maazel, C. M. Giulini, G. Pretre, P. Steinberg, C. Hogwood, R. Abbado, C. Hogwood, G. Rozhdestvensky, R. Frühbeck de Burgos, E. Krivine, I. Fischer, G. Benjamin, F. Bruggen, T. Koopman, T. Pinnock, P. Schreier, L. Berio, S. Baudo etc. Già docente assistente di Aurèle Nicolet presso l’Accademia Musicale Chigiana e in Croazia. È docente presso i corsi estivi del Festival Bosa Antica, dei Cursos de musica de Segovia e docente presso l’Accademia MARTHA di Palermo e nei corsi di Alto Perfezionamento del Civico Istituto Musicale “L. Folcioni” di Crema. Viene regolarmante invitato a tenere masterclasses flautistiche in Italia e all’estero. Ha fatto parte della giuria di Concorsi Nazionali e Internazionali. Expert per gli esami di bachelor e master presso l’HEM-Haute Ecole di Musique di Ginevra.

Principal Flute of the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Foundation, he studied in Cagliari, Paris and Geneva, furthering his training with Raymond Guiot and Maxence Larrieu. Throughout his orchestral career, he has performed under the baton of many distinguished conductors, including Gérard Korsten, Lorin Maazel, Carlo Maria Giulini, Georges Prêtre, Pinchas Steinberg, Christopher Hogwood, Roberto Abbado, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Emmanuel Krivine, Iván Fischer, George Benjamin, Frans Brüggen, Ton Koopman, Trevor Pinnock, Peter Schreier, Luciano Berio and Serge Baudo. He previously served as assistant to Aurèle Nicolet at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and in Croatia. He currently teaches at the summer courses of the Bosa Antica Festival and the Cursos de Música de Segovia, as well as at the MARTHA Academy in Palermo and the Advanced Training Courses of the Civico Istituto Musicale “L. Folcioni” in Crema. He is regularly invited to give flute masterclasses in Italy and abroad and has served on the juries of several national and international competitions. He is also an expert examiner for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree examinations at the HEM – Haute École de Musique de Genève.
