Sophia Labandibar

Pianista al Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique di Lione, ad Aix-en-Provence e al Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Avignone. Nata a Biarritz nel 1982, inizia gli studi a soli tre anni con Ada Labèque. Si forma al Conservatorio di Parigi, perfezionandosi poi alla Folkwang Hochschule di Essen, in Germania. Successivamente ritorna al Conservatorio di Parigi per approfondire la musica da camera con Claire Désert, Ami Flammer e Christian Ivaldi. È vincitrice di concorsi della Meyer Foundation e della Dr. Karl Dörken Foundation e si esibisce in numerosi festival, tra cui Prades, La Roque d’Anthéron, il Festival Radio France a Montpellier, Cellofest a Belgrado, il Festival Musique en Côte Basque e il Printemps Musical de Saint-Jean. La particolare attenzione che dedica all’arte dell’accompagnamento le viene riconosciuta a livello internazionale: è infatti una presenza costante nei corsi di perfezionamento a Ginevra, Nizza e Parigi. Sophie ha registrato per l’etichetta olandese Challenge e per quella tedesca Telos Music.

Pianist at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon, in Aix-en-Provence and at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Avignon. Born in Biarritz in 1982, she began her studies at the age of three with Ada Labèque. She studied at the Paris Conservatoire before furthering her training at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany. She subsequently returned to the Paris Conservatoire to study chamber music with Claire Désert, Ami Flammer and Christian Ivaldi. She is a prizewinner of competitions organized by the Meyer Foundation and the Dr. Karl Dörken Foundation, and has performed at numerous festivals, including Prades, La Roque d’Anthéron, the Festival Radio France in Montpellier, Cellofest in Belgrade, the Festival Musique en Côte Basque and the Printemps Musical de Saint-Jean. Her particular dedication to the art of accompaniment has earned her international recognition, and she is regularly invited to advanced courses in Geneva, Nice and Paris. Sophie has recorded for the Dutch label Challenge and the German label Telos Music.
